The Letter A

The twins loved the letter A week.
I am all about keeping it simple.
Each day I found a little project to do along with some of our daily activities.
The twins loved to have a special area to hang their Letter A!!

T
he twins preschool projects....
I started the week with the letter A worksheet. I actually print up a few of these each week. First day we color, later during the week the twins add stickers.

We also colored a plane and then glued the plane together. The twins loved adding cotton balls for clouds.

The dot worksheets are also great to practice adding stickers too.

My favorite craft was making an apple. For our apple I cut up red strips of paper for the twins to glue on a little paper plate. We added the stem and a couple of leaves on top.

Another coloring sheet to finish off the first week of preschool.

Other materials I used...
*The biggest hit for the letter A was the foam airplanes I picked up from Targets party section. They had the best time flying them around the front yard, the house, everywhere!!
*We also had a lot of apples! We ended up eating apple slices once a day.

It was a great first week, my goal was for the twins to enjoy the last weeks of summer while slowly introducing school into the daily schedule.

First ballet class!

Little girl was so excited about her first ballet class. Last week we went to pick up her ballet shoes and outfit. It was a long week waiting for the first class. When we arrived we took a few pictures with the other girls in her class then they took the girls to the ballet room. All the moms waited in the waiting room. This is so different for me. The parents will be invited back at the end of the session for their first little recital. I am not sure what all they did but we heard frozen songs and a lot of little giggles.  This girl was so happy when she came out of the class  How cute! She can not wait to go back!

Birthday Tips - 2nd Birthday, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

I had so much fun planning the twins birthday party. They both love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and all the characters.

I ordered a few decorations from OrientalTrading.com. The life size picture was a huge hit. Abby kept giving them all kisses and hugs.

Dollar Tree also had Mickey Mouse Clubhouse decorations. You can not beat $1!

Walmart- colored flags- only a $1 too!

Streamers and Balloons.
I always fill the back of my food table with streamers. Easy decoration and can be used again at another party!

Balloons I also picked up from dollar Tree.

I purchased a Mickey Mouse cut out from amazon to make Rice Krispy Treats for the party favor. I dipped the ears in chocolate to make them extra yummy!

To keep the twins busy while I decorated I had them make their own banner. I used the cookie cutter to trace a pattern on cardstock. They decorated all the cutouts with Mickey Mouse stickers.

All the food had special Mickey and Friend names. The paper plates and napkins came from Walmart. I am all about keeping it simple and getting colors that can be used again. The cupcakes came from BJ's and I added on little ears to the top. I also picked up the colored bowls from the Dollar Tree and flower vases to hold the utensils.

Twins 2nd Birthday Part 2

Happy Early Birthday Twins!! With the twins actual birthday on Father's Day this year we decided to celebrate with their party a week early. This year we went for a much smaller party and had their cousins over. It was perfect. We turned the back patio into a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They had Mickey Mouse Cupcakes. They read their new Mickey Mouse books. It was so sweet to see the excitement in their eyes--pure joy!
